it goes SURNAME, and then GIVEN NAME. it’s not that hard to remember, it’s irritating, and it’s made worse when you acknowledge your mistake - ‘oops, that should be the surname first shouldn’t it ha ha ha’ and then YOU CONTINUE throughout the whole thing to refer to the chinese, japanese and korean athletes incorrectly, and i want to break your face. not to mention that it’s on the screen as SURNAME GIVEN NAME, why can’t you just read it off? WHY? maybe this is a slightly mountain-molehill situation but it’s just incredibly annoying. you clearly research how to pronounce the surnames of the other athletes if they’re tricky, so why is it seemingly so difficult to refer to the asian athletes correctly?
